The amazing and unforgiving Beartooth Mountains in Montana are tucked away in the South West part of the state and are right on the border of Wyoming. The Beartooth Highway is an awesome scenic highway that is on highway 212 which starts near Red Lodge, MT. Driving on Beartooth Pass, you will reach an elevation of over 10,900 feet. The Highway starts near Red Lodge and goes through part of Wyoming and eventually meets up with Cooke City. In order to hike the Beaten Path in Montana, you must take the Beartooth Highway to get to the trailhead.
